Security cameras play important roles in many people's lives today. A camera used to be a gadget intended to just take pictures during special occasions and can only be bought by professional photographers because of the prohibitive prices. But today, cameras have evolved to not only take pictures but videos as well. 4. Audio/Video Quality. Audio and video quality affects how you will be able to monitor an area using the camera. The level of importance affects your choice because the quality of the recorded audio and video will affect the pricing of the camera.

5. Connectivity. There are many ways that a camera's output can be viewed live or recorded. There are cameras that store its output directly to a hard disk or to a memory card. There are those that connect wirelessly via wifi/3g allowing the user to check its output anytime, anywhere under any possible situation. 6. Casing of the Camera. The casing is an feature of the camera. If it is going to be used outdoors, then it should be waterproof.
